Q: How long does a real estate photo shoot generally take?
A: Most homes take 1-3 hours based on the size, lighting, readiness of the property, and/or wandering people or pets.
Q: How soon will the photos/video be delivered?
A: Most standard shoots will usually be delivered within 24-48 hours after the shoot via download.
Q: How do I pay you?
A: Invoices are provided at shoot for immediate payment or emailed to be paid for with PayPal, credit card, or by check.
Q: What is the delivery format size for photos and video?
A: Photographs for internet use are JPGs approximately 2048 x 1536 pixels ideal for the MLS, social media, and other websites. Video and Photographs for print are customized.
Q: Do you stage the property or move objects around?
A: The home should be completely ready for the shoot. Due to time restraints as well as liability, furniture, clutter cannot be moved. The property will be shot as-is. Blinds and curtains may be open or shut. Recommendations for a professional stager are available.
Q: How should the home be prepared for photos?
A: A Staging Your Home checklist is provided upon scheduling. The checklist will help the home look its best on photo day.
Q: Who needs to be at the shoot?
A: It is preferred that the owner or an authorized representative (realtor, broker,etc.) but it is not mandatory. Your input is always appreciated when choosing what to photograph. If the owner or an authorized representative cannot be at the shoot, the photographer will use best judgment and experience.
Q: Who owns the photos?
A: A standard usage license is provided. Although you won’t technically own the photos, the rights granted are designed to accommodate all of your marketing needs. The following is the Standard Usage License in detail:

Real estate photography package prices include NON-TRANSFERABLE, NON-RESELLABLE rights to reproduce the photographs for all marketing purposes specifically related to the sale of a single residential or commercial property for the full continuous duration of the client’s listing agreement to a maximum of one year from date of payment, including the MLS, real estate websites, the realtor’s social media and print advertising.
The agent is granted a non-transferable, non-resellable license for the image(s) for marketing their services in sold listing compilations and marketing portfolios for a period of 4 years beginning on the date of payment in full for charges relating to those photos. Photos used in marketing materials for the agent must include a photo credit immediately adjacent to the photo in the form of “Vidflash ” and a footnote on the publication in the form of “Photos © (year of copyright) Vidflash” or in a manner to designate the photos in the media created by Vidflash if more than one photographer’s work is shown.
Photos may not be resold or otherwise transferred to those including, but not limited to: builders, architects, sellers, buyers, interior designers, stagers or subsequent listing agents. New agents must purchase images directly from the photographer and are subject to limitations negotiated with the original listing agent. Copyright is exclusively retained by Vidflash and images must be licensed by Vidflash for any use.
If the photos are of a “Model” home where they will be used to advertise more than one address, specific licensing arrangements must be made and additional fees paid in advance.
Licensing is subject to receipt in full of all charges related to the shoot. Other licensing terms can be negotiated to suit the needs of the project.
